About Bandung:
Bandung is the capital city of West Java Province, and the second largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta, the capital. Nicknamed Parijs van Java (Paris of Java) by the Dutch Colonial for its resemblance to Paris and European atmosphere back in colonial times, Bandung also earned another nickname as “Kota Kembang”, literally meaning the Flower City since Bandung used to have a lot of flowers. Now, Bandung is a urban metropolitan city which has its own motto, “Bandung creative and smart city”, that already recognized by one of the list UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

Located at the altitude of 768m and surrounded by the lush and beautiful Parahyangan mountains makes the climate mild and pleasant. The city has been well known for its fashion districts and boutiques, popular natural destination such as Tangkuban Parahu volcano, Kawah Putih (White Crater), tea plantation, Dago Forest Park, floating market, hot springs, its universities (ITB, UNPAR, UNPAD, UPI, Telkom University, MCU), the capital for Asian African Conference, and a great place for gastronomic adventure. Bandung is a home for Sundanese people that mostly inhabited in West Java Province, which still maintain the richness Sundanese culture.

Why Bandung needs this project?

Indonesia is the fourth largest population in the world. This large number of population causes some problem, and one of the problem that happening in bandung  is health and well being. impacting project is foccussing on motivate the cancer kids and give them vision about the world, teach them to make handicraft, in the end we should make a charity even for the cancer kids to build more awareness for bandung people about cancer kids in bandung

Activities:

  • Motivate and isnpire the kids to live life to the fullest
  • Make handicrafts with the kids (Indonesia’s and EPs’ home countries handicrafts)
  • Sing, dance, and play with the kids
  • Make charity event and do fundraising for unfortunate kids in Bandung
  • Build awareness to Bandung society about cancer and cancer kids in Bandung
  • do presentation for the kids about EP’s culture, etc

How we measure the impact

  • 1. 200 Public outreach 
  • 2. 20 kids from cancer house receive donation
  • 3. 1.250.000,- collected for the donations 

General Timeline:
Week 1 : Introduction with the cancer house and also the kids, adaptation with the kids, play with the kids
Week 2 : make handicraft, do a small social charity show together at public place (75 people outreach, 250k rupiahs collected from the show)
Week 3 : play with the kids, explain about the EPs culture to brighten their knowledge (250k rupiahs collected, 75 people outreach)
Week 4 : Do a big social charity show together at Global Village event and go live in the village that has a cancer kids or health problem (500k rupiahs colected from the show)
Week 5 : Do a small social charity show at public place (250k rupiahs collected, 50 people outreach)
Week 6 : Farewell with the kids
